One of the events at the work site of the “Inspiring City” festival was the presentation of the “Lviv Literary Map” as one of the co-projects of the Publishing and Printing Cluster, the office “Lviv – the UNESCO city of literature”, the Ukrainian Academy of Printing and Travel Agency “Pro Lviv with love”.
The project has become the winner of the competition of social and cultural projects of Lviv City Council “Let’s make Lviv better” in the category “Tourism” and is being implemented throughout 2018. The Lviv literary map tells about the places of literature in our city and also describes two routes: with traces of Ivan Tyktor in Lviv and traces of “The First Wreath” on the Lviv map. The guests were able to estimate the design, print and convenient format of the map.
In addition, the participants of the presentation, Nataliya Yarka (Publishing and Printing Cluster) and Halyna Lystvak (Ukrainian Academy of Printing), discussed about what could grow from such a map in the future. The literary map can serve as a good tool for the development of intellectual tourism in Lviv, as well as promote new literary names as city brands.
The map is free distributed to tourists and residents of the city, to museum staff and educators through the Tourist Information Center of Lviv, Educational-Methodical Center of Education of Lviv, office “Lviv – the UNESCO City of Literature”, travel agency “Pro Lviv with love”, Ukrainian Academy of Printing.
